My name is Miles and I am fifteen years old from the United States. My aspiration is to be a pilot.
2. How long have you been making websites?
About a year.
3. And what got you into the hobby?
I have always found interest in websites and wondered how they were made.
4. What kind of website are you most interested in?
Archives.
5. What's your workflow? Do you plan your websites out thoroughly or do you come up with the design as you go along?
I have no schedule, I just update things whenever I feel like it. Sometimes that will be daily, and other times I will go months without updating anything.
6. Please link to your biggest inspirations.
No specific websites inspired me, it came from all over. I however linked very cool websites on my homepage that you should check out!
7. What's your favourite part about making websites?
I like seeing my website come together as I make it. It is something to pass the time and is a unique hobby.
8. And the thing you struggle with the most?
Keeping my code organised. Most of my webpages are probably in the root, and my images folder is hell.
9. Do you keep the same layout on all of your pages? Or do you use different ones?
I usually use different layouts for each of my pages. I like to change things up.
10. How confident are you with CSS?
I am very confident writing with CSS, though I am far from perfect.
11. Do you know how to correctly use <dl>?
No.
12. What is your favourite HTML element?

13. If you're making a new web page from scratch, what is the first thing you do?
I often will start with the CSS, making the basic parts of my layout.
14. Do you know JavaScript?
No. All of the JavaScript on my site are snippets from somewhere else, taken with permission.
15. How about PHP?
No.
16. Does your website have a theme that you stick to?
I like white websites, so I made mine mostly white with some colour.
17. Are you more focused on content or design?
I think both are important, however I have more fun designing the webpage.
18. Do you own a domain name? If not, would you ever want to?
No, I host on Neocities. I do not care for a specific name. I got the name aquahinnn because Aquahin is my username on most platforms, and I had two previous websites with the names Aquahin and Aquahinn, so now this is aquahinnn except it isn't capitalised this time.
19. What do you think of nostalgia-focused or "retro" websites?
I like them.
20. Is your HTML valid? Do you even check?
I sure hope so.
21. What are your opinion on buttons and banners?
I have both of those.
22. What do you think of button walls in particular?
Fine.
23. If you started over again, would you make something similar or completely different?
I would make something different. This is exactly how this website was made.
24. Are you envious of other people's websites?
No.
25. What text editor do you use?
VS Code.
26. Why do you use that one?
It is easy to use and I appreciate the live previews.
27. Do you host your image files on your web server, or on another host?
I do both. I host most on my own server as it makes my website much faster.
28. This might not be relevant to you, but what's your opinion on the Neocities vs. Nekoweb debate?
Use what you want.
29. How much server space would you estimate your main website takes up?
Several hundred KB.
30. Do you keep local backups of your files?
Mostly.
31. Do you prefer simple or highly visual websites?
I don't mind either way, as long as it is original.
32. Do you stick to certain colours? Do you do that on purpose, or is it your subconscious?
Not really. I just do what I feel is right.
33. Have you ever thought about quitting? Why?
No. Just taking long breaks.
34. Do you have many webmaster friends, or is it a solitary hobby?
Not really. I do it for myself.
35. Do people in your real life know about your website?
Yes. My mother was the first person to comment in my guestbook, which the message is still there.
36. Do you update your website very often? How often is "very often"?
Somewhat. It depends on how I feel. I could take a break for months, or update it near daily.
37. And the overall design, do you change that much? Why or why not?
Not much. I like it the way it is.
38. Is your website more you-focused, hobby-focused, or outside world-focused?
It is a personal website focused on me and the things I like.

No.
40. If not, would you like to?
Not really. Plus my code isn't the best, I just do what works.
41. Do you communicate with people by email very much?
No, but occasionally I do.
42. Some people reject social media and use websites as a replacement. Do you keep social media outside of your website?
Yes. This doesn't mean I like social media, however.
43. How about instant messengers? Do you use a mainstream one like Discord or Telegram? Or something like Matrix? Do you avoid them?
I use mainstream messengers because that's what my family and friends use.
44. Do you listen to music while you work on websites? If so, what kinds of artists?
Sometimes. I usually prefer silence or a video. When I do listen to music, I like Primus mostly. My father got me into Primus, and he plays Primus songs on his bass near daily.
45. Do you keep everything you make on one website, or do you have more than one?
I have more than one, but I will not link them here. One of them is basically abandoned, and the other I am still trying to figure out what I want to do with it.
46. On a similar note, do you keep to one topic on your site, or many?
Many topics. Well, as this site develops it will.
47. Do you present your real self, or at least try? Or do you construct a persona on purpose?
On my website, I use a persona for privacy reasons. I am a minor and do not want to share my face publicly. I did however try to make my persona look like me with the hair and clothes.
48. Have you ever made a good friend thanks to your website?
No.
49. Are you happy with the way HTML and CSS currently work?
If it's functional, I'm happy.
50. What are practices that you think people should avoid?
I honestly don't really care what you do with your sites.
51. What about under-utilised practices, or things you think people should do more?
Once again, I don't really care. I don't want to tell people what they should and shouldn't do.
52. Do you use a lot of semantic HTML? Or are you guilty of generic structure?
I don't use semantic HTML. I use div and class for most elements.
53. Do you consider different browsers?
Firefox. Or anything besides Chrome.
54. Speaking of, what's your preferred browser? Convince your readers why they should use it.
Firefox. I prefer how it renders websites rather than chromium. Plus, my website looks much better on Firefox.
55. And what OS are you on?
Windows 11.
56. Do you have a strong opinion on that, or do you just happen to use it?
I just use it because it suits what I need to do. I don't like Windows 11.
57. Are your websites mobile-friendly?
Absolutely not. It will break on any mobile device like a phone or tablet, I have tested it.
58. What are your thoughts on autoplay?
I would say it depends.
59. What are your thoughts on webrings? Are you in any?
They are cool. I am in several.
60. Do you have any web shrines? What do you like to see in that sort of page?
I will in the future. I like to see people make shrines on things that interest them, and have cool facts about it. Especially when the webpage is themed and decorated around the topic.
61. Are your websites "cliche", in your opinion?
No.
62. What is your ideal website? Are you striving for that, or for something else?
I don't have an ideal website, I just do what feels right.
63. Are you an artist? Do you draw or design your own assets?
Yes, and I draw a majority of the graphics on my site.

Tiny ID Buttons, CDN Fonts, Preloaders, Neocities Widgets
65. Is there a habit you just can't get away from no matter how hard you try?
I'm not sure.
66. What's your biggest advice for a new webmaster?
Do whatever feels right and be original. Take your time when learning to code, and expect a LOT of trial and error. Also, it is helpful to not to use inline CSS. Try to keep your HTML and CSS seperate.
67. Do you keep all your styling in CSS? Or do you hard-code some?
I keep most of my styling in CSS, however I often use hard-coded measurements like px.
68. What do you think of frameset layouts?
I'd rather use iframe.
69. How about table-based layouts?
A nightmare.
70. Do you subscribe to the ideas of "one-column", "two-column" and "three-column" layouts? Do you use any of these?
I don't mind them.
71. Do you spend longer on the HTML or the CSS?
100% the CSS.
72. Have you ever made a page with no CSS? It's useful for your thoughts.
Not really. I always use at least a little CSS, even if it's a website that isn't meant to be hosted.
73. Do you ever find yourself making layouts with nothing to put on them? Or do you only make layouts when the need arises?
I like making layouts for fun.
74. Would you consider yourself a beginner? Or advanced? Somewhere in the middle?
I would say I have good experience with HTML and CSS, but I am FAR from perfect.
75. Do you have a habit of looking at the source code of websites you visit?
Sometimes. Usually when I am trying to figure out how to make something work on my own site.
76. How did YOU learn how to make websites?
I slowly taught myself. It was very confusing at first. Most of it was trial and error to be honest.
77. Do you ever force elements to do things they're not supposed to?
Maybe?? I don't know.
78. Thoughts on floating elements?
I don't really use the floating property.
79. When you're sizing stuff, what do you use first? Do you use px, em, %, or something else?
px and % are my go to. I shouldn't use px, but I don't feel like redoing everything.

Wingdings.
81. Would you run a website with another person? How would that work?
I don't think I will.

Occasionally.
83. Do you bookmark other people's websites? How would you feel knowing someone else bookmarked yours?
No. I don't mind if people bookmark mine.
84. What do you want people to be most impressed with when they see your website?
The fact that this site exists in the first place.

Yes, but I do not collect. I might in the future.

I am trying to be less online lately. I wouldn't be able to give a number.

Anyone who is interested in what I have to offer.

No.

I have tried Python, but I wouldn't call myself a programmer. I haven't written a program for my website, and any JavaScript I have is taken from someplace else (with permission).
90. Speaking of programs that help you make websites, what do you think of static site generators (SSGs)? Have you ever used one?
I haven't used one.
91. Do you keep a hitcounter? Why or why not?
Neocities provides statistics for my hits and visits, however I don't really check it.

No.
93. Do you write your page content directly into the editor, or do you prepare it elsewhere, like a text document or a Word document?
I like to use VS Code to write it, then use Neocities to host it. Sometimes I use the editor.
94. Do you think you appear cool to others? A more accurate answer now: do other people ever say you're cool?
I don't care either way.
95. Are you embarrassed of your old work? Have you ever deleted everything out of shame?
Yes. You wouldn't believe how bad the code was.
96. Would you close down your website if you couldn't update it, or would you leave an archive?
I would leave it an archive, especially since I don't pay to host it.

There's a lot about me that I won't talk about, but I also have a lot about me on here as well.

No, and they do not have a website.

Usually not.
